Established in 1988, Parasense has been providing environmental initiatives to the retail and commercial sectors for over 20 years. We pride ourselves on ensuring that our clients see the best return on their investment through our in depth knowledge and understanding of energy reduction.
Parasense has developed a brand that delivers quality long lasting products and services to a range of retail, industrial and commercial customers. The early years of our business saw our founder develop and deploy the first commercially available refrigerant leak detection system to be used in a UK supermarket. The plan was that through early identification the costs associated with refrigerant leakage, (stock loss, down time, labour & refrigerant), could be drastically reduced. Now, systems are required by law to reduce the effect on the environment of harmful refrigerant leaks, and Parasense leak detectors can be found in thousands of locations across the globe including retail, pharmaceutical and military applications.
In the beginning Parasense started gathering data from remote systems around the UK via a dial up modem and analysing the information every seven days to identify trends before making a phone call
or sending a fax to the active maintenance party. At the time it was cutting edge and helped significantly reduce our customers’ usage of costly and harmful refrigerants. Since then technology has moved on significantly and Parasense now operate Information Centres in the UK and US, which stream data continually from over 4,000 sites, providing our customers with real time updates via email and direct integration into 3rd party management systems. This combined with online dashboards and web applications that analyse the data and deliver powerful management information, our customers are now able to make informed long term decisions on a regular basis. This is why we are recognised as an industry leader.
During the last ten years, Parasense has continued to develop its product range, which has expanded and evolved to include integration, control, management and more monitoring equipment. In 2009 we launched our Stepwise range that immediately caught the eye of the trade with a 'highly commended' accolade at the 2009 Cooling Industry Awards. This has propelled us to keep developing our energy efficient control solutions, and to date we are proud to have over 500 applications of our Stepwise control products in the UK.
In the future we intend to continue with our principle of continual improvement and look forward to delivering more exciting ways of helping our customers to get the best from their businesses.
